This is How We Say I Love You is an ongoing documentary project on the lives of my friends told over the decade post-college graduation. I explore the intricate relationships formed during our early 20s and the maintaining of these friendships through the ebb and flow of our lives. It is framed against the backdrop of the transformative journey through this pivotal stage of life. In an era marked by constant change and self-discovery, the project serves as an intimate portrait of the dynamics that define these formative years. Each photograph hopes to encapsulate how shared moments of, laughter, struggle, and growth shape our closest friendships. I hope to create a project that paints an accurate picture of transitioning from youth to adulthood in the modern era. As the photographer, I am both a participant in the project and an observer.
